Historically, the only way to CREATE a PDF, was to purchase the full version of Adobe Acrobat, which is roughly $600!!!

Over the past few years, some open source projects have been developing an alternative, free method.

Recently, CutePDF PDF Writer 2.5 has pulled all this together and provided an easy to download, snap to install tool to allow you to create PDF's FOR FREE! It's fantastic, I've used it on several PC's, recommend it to clients, check it out!

HOW TO:
- It's a simple, 2 step process to install:
1) Click the link above, then download and install the 'Free Converter' (GPL Ghostscript - this is the plumbing behind the scenes that does the actual PDF creation),
2) then download & install the 'Free Download',

Now you can then create PDF's by PRINTING from any application, and instead of chosing your standard printer, choose the Cute PDF Writer, and you'll be prompted for where to save, and what to name the PDF!  ¶ 11:48 AM 0 comments
